Hi Friends,
I like writing about my assignments – there is so much to learn in every assignment. I get to meet new minds, new personalities, get to know their SQL stories, their issues, remedies, tips, tricks, techniques and bunch of little things! Every assignment makes me a better SQL guy and a better person too 🙂
Today, while I write this blog, I am at Microsoft campus in Hyderabad delivering a SQL workshop. And it reminds me that I had not written about my last workshop that I completed here in Microsoft in the month of September 2011.
This SQL Server training assignment in India was organized by Peopleware India –
I blogged about my last assignment here that I completed in Pune: https://www.sqlservergeeks.com/completed-advanced-sql-server-2008-performance-tuning-workshop-in-pune-2011/
I came back home after completing my assignment in Pune, and immediately next week, travelled to Hyderabad at Microsoft India Development Center to deliver my 11th workshop at MS IDC.
This was a 2 day workshop on T-SQL and we talked, demoed, discussed, debated loads about Sub-queries, joins, Ranking functions, Aggregations, etc. I could sneak in a few good examples on optimizing T-SQL code. And yes, did show tuning aspects with Indexes as well even though that was not on agenda, but indexes are always so special so could not resist not talking about them.
The audience at Microsoft was so very professional, many of them knew the subject so well – they matched my speed of doing the labs and it was a real pleasure knowing & interacting with them. Thanks to all the folks. In fact, people inside the classroom make the training successful and all kudos to them! And I made a few friends 🙂 – as always !
Here are is the Pic from the class:
The gallery page on Peopleware India site is updated as well: http://www.peoplewareindia.com/gallery.htm
Next batch was a BI batch, again at Microsoft IDC. I shall write about the next batch shortly.
