Dear Friends,
We delivered yet another rocking SQL Server Day event in Bangalore on 15th October. More than 90 SQL Geeks people turned up for the event. This was a full-house event, thanks to our marketing team at SQLServerGeeks.com 🙂 – they do know how to create the buzz !
Sudhir Rawat, one of our regular rock star speaker from Microsoft, presented on Business Intelligence in SQL Server 2012 (Denali). He talked about BI Semantic Model, etc and how the new features and functionalities are enhancing the existing BI feature-set of SQL Server BI platform. The audience had bunch of questions for him on the new technologies and he answered all of them satisfactorily.
This was followed by our Vice President and Regional Mentor for Bangalore, Sarabpreet Singh, who presented on PowerShell. And I could witness his expertise on PowerShell increasing day by day. This was Sarabpreet’s first session in Bangalore as he relocated from Delhi. He was certainly delighted to see a packed house, thanks to our Marketing team at SQLServerGeeks.com 🙂
Last but not the least, I presented a very boring session on Locking which was full of demo and no one enjoyed it :)) – I demoed a couple of things related to Lock escalation, Lock partitioning, Conversion Locks, Snapshot Isolation, etc.
The participants participated very actively and it is always a pleasure organizing these events for them. I thank all the attendees for their wonderful participation in the event !
The best of all, again this time, was the video that we recorded “I am a SQL Server Geek” – you can see it here
Thanks to Sarabpreet Singh, Rishu Mehra, Sudhir Rawat for all their support.
